March 8 is annually celebrated as International Women’s Day.
Women are many, many things. Among the many words used to describe us are emotional, strong and resilient, among others
Let’s focus on the word RESILIENT and having that, building emotional intelligence is important in one's character and personality.
Resilient is described as
Adjective 1.(of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
Somebody that is emotionally aware and in control of the emotional and physical challenges and able to hang tough and take a step by step approach to see what the issue is and find a way to rise thru it and not just deal but thrive. That is what resilience is.
An unfortunate reality in the world that we live in today, children are forced to grow up quickly; where they are exposed to tragedy and violence in every which way , and where we can never predict when someone will have to endure an unexpected loss or prolonged suffering
Women have shouldered more than our fair share of responsibilities, taken so much blame for things that we probably shouldn’t have, pegged into holes we shouldn’t be pegged into, having said that, we still thrive.
Growing in emotional resilience requires that we work towards greater self-knowledge. It is important, for example, that you learn to identify how you react in emotional situations. Becoming aware of how you react when stressed helps you gain better control over those reactions. A good framework to help guide you towards becoming more aware of your emotions and mental state.
To all the strong resilient women all over this world, you are seen, you are loved, you are cherished and you are appreciated. Keep shining your love and light.
